Craft Stall Display
Ok, I am busy getting little bits and pieces ready for our next craft stall which is in November so it should be good.
I have made quite a few small items already for selling and I needed something to display them in, so I thought a basket with a lining would look nice, I thought a nice box and then KJ said why don't I sew one, what a brilliant idea as the stall is about sewing so follow me as I make the box.
I need to tell you I am completely making this up and have made a mistake already, but guess what, my mistake turned out making my box even prettier, have a look at this.
So first of all I cut out a piece of backing fabric and attached all little strips vertically, this is one side, so I have to make 3 more of these.
Mistake 1
I attached the lining and turned it inside out, pressed, then the mistake dawned on me, I hadn't attached the corner ribbon closures.
Then I was going through my sewing draw and had a good idea.
If I attach some of my ribbon along the top I could leave some over at the end for the ribbon ties, this way I won't have to undo anything to fit them in.
Have a look at this...
Perfect and even prettier, so you see mistakes can turn out to be a good thing, I am not sure whether to have the ribbon along the top or 3/4 of the way up from the bottom, I will make all the sides before I decide.
I am still working on my sewing bag project, but for the moment I have gone off in a different direction 😵
Once I have finished this little project I will carry on with my sewing project.
Take care...
